Denver has been creating family-friendly Halloween fun for years and has gotten quite good at it. For example, there's the Wild Fall at Denver Zoo. The Denver Zoo's 84-acre campus will be filled with family-focused events everyday until the end of October. Look forward to enjoying costumed creatures, pumpkin carvings, festive food and drinks, and majestic animal demonstrations. You'll also get a chance to see Bigfoot, Mothman and other spooky creatures. Continue reading for more safe Halloween fun in the Denver area this month.

October Halloween Fun in Denver

One of the most anticipated events this October is the Magic of the Jack-O'-Lanterns. Imagine the beautiful sprawling acres of Hudson Gardens decorated with 5,000 hand-carved pumpkins. They will also have large pumpkin displays and other jack-o'-lantern pieces. Other illuminated pieces will include a magical carnival, nautical seascape, dinosaurs, and dragons. With so many Halloween events focused on the scary and the macabre, Hudson Gardens offers this event that small kids can enjoy without being terrified.

However, if your kids are a little older, check out the Monster to Midnight event at Pavilions in Denver. If you and your kids like scary movies then this is the Halloween event for you! Monster to Midnight gets you up close and personal with monsters from popular movies, television and other spooky attractions. This after-hours event will be taking place at Distortions Monster World. Who doesn't want to mingle with vampires, dragons, werewolves and other spooky characters? This event will be going on every day in October with hours varying by the day, so check out their website for more details.
