Looking for a place to bring the kids this October that's a little less scary and more family-focused? Elitch Garden's Family by Day event this year is what you're looking for! These Halloween festivities will be during the day each weekend, including access to your favorite rides. They will have free candy on their "Trick or Treat Trail" and several Halloween-themed interactive challenges. That's Saturdays & Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00 PM. Here are some of the many family-friendly activities you can expect to see this year.

Haunting Fun at Elitch Gardens

All of the Family by Day Halloween activities will be held in the kid's area of the park called Kiddie Land. So make sure you get a park map and head that way. Some of the most popular events is Halloween Bingo at 3:00 PM and the Scream It Out contest at 4:00 PM. If you have a kid that loves to be heard, these two events are a great pairing. Parents, get some quiet time at the Bingo event and then let your little monsters lose at the Scream It Out contest. The kid with the loudest scream will take home the title of Scream King or Queen.

Get to the park earlier for the Costume Contest at 1:00 PM, where your child gets to bring and wear their favorite Halloween costume. Participants will be able to go up on the Kiddie Land stage to showcase their costume to the entire crowd. If you miss the costume contest, don't worry. The Trick or Treat Trail, will be available during the entire Family by Day event! The trick or treat trail is a great way to see the entire Kiddie Land area because it weaves through everything on this side of the park. Make sure to pick up trick-or-treat bags and maps at the Kiddie Land entrance for your little ghouls to enjoy.
