Summer is here, which means it's time for relaxing in the Colorado sun with a peaceful yoga session. Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices that originated in ancient India. Did you know that there is a wide variety of schools of yoga, practices, and goals in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, and traditional and modern yoga is practiced worldwide? If you enjoy group yoga, there will be many ways to participate in Colorado this summer. Continue reading for one of the biggest yoga treats that you can sign up for today.

Ironton Yoga

One of the most anticipated fitness events this summer is Ironton Yoga. Ironton Distillery is a craft house in the RiNo art district and it's backyard space is a gem for yoga-enthusiasts. Though the space is large, it is finite, therefore class size is limited. To secure your spot, purchase a ticket online in advance. Class officially began May 3rd but they will continue through August 30th, so there's plenty of time to participate. Classes are taught by Erica Mackiewicz in Ironton’s backyard space as long as the weather is clear. Participants are asked to bring their own bottle of water and yoga mat.

Ironton Distillery is a Denver favorite. It is named after a once prominent mining town in southern Colorado that is now a registered ghost town. The name sparks conversations of Colorado history. "Ironton Distillery and Craft house was born out of the adventurous heritage and spirit of both our state and city. Every sip of our spirits and cocktails captures our love of craftsmanship and our desire to explore. But our love for Colorado and quality goes beyond the products we make." Your Ironton Yoga ticket price, which is a very reasonable $15, includes a draft cocktail, beer or wine after your class.
