Farmer's Markets are a big thing in Colorado that have a lot of great benefits for local communities. Farmer's markets help maintain important social ties and create unique bonds between rural and urban areas. They also reduce the amount of transport, storage, and refrigeration that comes with moving fresh produce from the fields into cities. Here are some of the most popular farmer's markets in Colorado that will be operating in your area before you know it.

May Farmer's Markets in Colorado

City Park in Denver hosts a wonderful Farmer's market every year. This year they will be open Saturday from May 14th to October 29th. The City Park farmer's market is more of a morning experience as they will be open from 8 AM to 1PM. It is the perfect market for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. There will be live, local musicians performing while local produce vendors sell their seasonal foods and other products. Not much of a morning person? Enjoy a fresh brewed cup of locally roasted coffee to wake you up. This farmer's market will be set up at the City Park Esplanade on East Colfax Avenue in Denver.

Another popular market is the Arvada Farmers Market held in the historic Olde Town Square. This market will be open on Sundays from 9 AM to 1:30 PM. This one doesn't start until June 5th and ends September 25th. There is always a wide variety of merchants and products at the Arvada farmer's market. You will find the most fresh Colorado peaches, locally sourced honey, bread, and cheeses here. Not to mention cakes, pickled products, pastries, tamales, burritos, and fresh juices. Aside from produce, you can also get locally grown house plants and locally made artisan products such as soaps, jewelry, and bath and body products. The Olde Town Square is located on Olde Wadsworth Boulevard in Arvada.
