The Boulder Philharmonic isn't the only event returning in a virtual form. The Doors Open Denver annual arts event is also continuing online this year. The timing, duration and scope of the event has changed so make sure you read everything for dates and how to attend. The Doors Open Denver event will focus on offering Insider Tours that provide exclusive access to historic buildings, new buildings and everything in between as it has in the past. There will be a few different ways that you can participate in the festivities this year, including virtual tours, a photo competition, and audio tours.

Art Events Going Virtual

The virtual insider tours event this year will highlight 12 of Denver's unique spaces, from cultural to commercial. Starting August 31, a new space will be toured every day from Monday through Thursday for three consecutive weeks. Also, each tour will allow time for a question-and-answer period. Registration is only $9 and $7 for members. The Doors Open Denver's annual photo competition is in partnership with the Colorado Photographic Arts Center. The center will accept online entries over the three-week event timeline, and the corresponding exhibit of top entries will open to the public virtually in December.

Another way you can attend this arts event is through their audio tours. Recently added, the audio tours will allow attendees to get outside to explore Denver's architecture in a safe, socially-distanced way. On August 4, two journeys will be released to the public for free— Downtown Denver: A Game of City and Empire Builders and Civic Center Park: A Speerian Play. The tours will include 24 locations historically significant to Denver and Colorado and highlight more than a century of Denver's architecture and cultural history. With so many ways to attend, this event is sure to remind you how wonder our capital really is.
